Dr. Whitfield believes the best eye exam is one where the patient leaves understanding exactly what is happening with their vision and why. She has a particular interest in dry eye disease, which she saw under-treated again and again during her clinical training, and has built Pacific Vision's dry eye program around modern diagnostic testing rather than guesswork. When she is not in clinic, she is usually at the beach with her dog or trying a new taco spot in North Park.
