Vision insurance vs. medical insurance
What is the difference between vision and medical insurance?+
Vision insurance typically covers routine eye exams, glasses, and contacts. Medical insurance applies when we are diagnosing or treating a medical condition like an eye infection, dry eye disease, or glaucoma. Some visits bill to both.
Do you accept Medicare?+
Yes. Medicare covers medical eye conditions but not routine refractive exams, so we will let you know upfront what applies to your visit.
What if I do not see my plan listed?+
Call our office and we will verify your specific benefits before your visit, so there are no surprises.
